Curtains Measuring Instruction
Step 1: Measure the Curtain Rod Width and Placement
For accuracy, measure your curtain track or pole's width, not the window. For a new installation, extend it 6-15 inches beyond each side and 6-10 inches above the window. If using a pole, measure between the finials.
Step 2: Calculate Dimensions for Grommet Curtains
For Grommet
- Width = Rod or Track Width * Fullness(Recommend 2x fullness) /Number of Panels
- Length = Measure from the very top of curtain rod to the floor
Step 3: Calculate Dimensions for Rod Pocket / Back Tab Curtains
Rod Pocket/Back Tab
- Width = Rod or Track Width * Fullness(Recommend 2x fullness) /Number of Panels
- Length = Measure from the very top of curtain rod to the floor
Step 4: Calculate Dimensions for Pinch Pleated Curtains
Pinch Pleated
- Width Before Pleats = Rod or Track Width * Fullness (Recommend1.25x fullness) / Number of Panels
- Length = Pinch Pleats on Hooks: Measure from the bottom of the hooks.
Length = Pinch Pleats for Tracks: Measure from the bottom of the track ring.

- Sill Length: Curtains typically fall below the window sill
- Floor Length: typically reach the floor
- Puddle Length: typically puddle more on the floor
