Joydeco Custom Cordless Plug-in Motorized Blackout Cellular Shades

These blinds come at an incredible price, are SO easy to assemble and look beautiful in our home. We have been looking for cordless blinds for a while and these checked all the boxes. We are going to purchase more to finish out the rest of the blinds in our home this summer. We are so happy with these and would absolutely recommend!

Great option for some shades that wont take a lot of use. Install was easy and they truly are 100% blackout IF you measure correctly and order the right size. Ask me how I know :(

I was impressed by the sturdy bracket design and the instructions. The blind itself operates with ease and the end caps fit well. Be very sure that you have the blind aligned where you want it because moving after installation is not an option. I thought that the cap screws were overly long for their diameter. Predrilling is highly recommended. Once in place, the brackets will not come loose. I used a hex head driver which is less likely to damage the screws than a screw driver. The blind lets in the light without being too transparent. I mounted it over a spa type tub to provide privacy.

I purchased 4 of these blinds and they are better than I expected. I found installation easy although I started using option 1 using 2 screws but switched to option 2 using 1 screw so there was enough clearance to use my drill to install the screw. Considering buying 2 more.

These were the perfect color and very easy to install. I returned because I thought I had ordered black out blinds.

Second time buying these for the rest of the windows in the house. Easy install looks great!

The mounting screws supplied with the shade should be TOSSED IMMEDIATELY . The heads of the screws BLOCK the easy snap in or the blind unit. Whomever thought of putting these in the kit should be FIRED IMMEDIATELY . It's only after you install the brackets that the acre heads interfere with the smooth installation. Toss the screws ,get drywall screws and it's a snap...by the way thats the sound the brackets make ,,,with the right screws....otherwise the "Shade " is great....just sayin...

I love these. We had originally purchased 2 sets of room darkening ones for the bedrooms from this company about a year ago and loved them for the bedrooms, but they would be much too dark for the kitchen. The kitchen gets sun from 9am to until 1, so I wanted shades that would protect the wood from sun damage, but let the light in and keep the house bright. These are perfect! Now we have to save up and get some for the other side of the house!

I had been looking for window shades to replace curtains in a guest bedroom for several years. When I finally came across these it was the style, dimensions offered, and customer reviews of the quality for the price and ease of installation that led me to take the chance and order. I am so happy that I did. They were easy to install, fit and operate perfectly, and look great. The Dove White turned out to be a perfect match to the color of my window trim. Some customers have mentioned that the style of screws needed for inside mount are not included. It turned out that one of the three shades I ordered came with the necessary screws so I could see exactly what type was needed, and I found matching screws to use for the other two shades in my collection of assorted screws saved from other projects.

These blinds are amazing quality at a much more affordable price point. They come in lots of different shades for versatility and so many sizes to allow you to fit it to every type of window. In addition, the customer service is top-notch! They responded promptly and even rush my order at request, you can’t go wrong ordering the blinds. I highly recommend them.

This blind was the absolute perfect fit and were easy to install. They filter the light without making it dark in my kitchen but give us the privacy we wanted. It’s placed above my sink and so far, a few months, they have held up well to the water splashes it gets without even seeing water spots on them.

These shades are fabulous. They were cleanly and neatly cut to the exact measurements. I was worried about this as there was not a lot of room for even a small mistake. The brackets are sturdy and have little springs so that when you mount the blinds in them, they click right in. Oh, hallelujah! I almost twisted myself into a pretzel trying to do this with the shades I bought from Home Depot and was still unable to get them clicked in to all the brackets. They are close to custom in quality. I just ordered another pair and I'm seriously thinking of replacing the ones I got from HD. Added plus: I ordered the shades in the color White Dove and they match exactly my walls that are painted in White Dove by Benjamin Moore.

Should've done this a long time ago! Keeps the sun out of my eyes at breakfast, and looks great. I installed this over the kitchen sink. It was pretty easy to install, except it took a few attempts to get the blind to "click" into place on the brackets. This may be because I used the hex-head option for inside mount (even though flathead screws were provided). I figured the fewer holes to drill, the better :) If you use the hex head screws for inside mount, there is only one per bracket, vs. two if using the flatheads. The instructions clearly show the 2 options for inside mount. It worked, but I'm a little nervous because the bracket on the left did not ever make a really satisfying click when the blind was pushed into place. It's working and it's beautiful, and I guess if it comes down I'll just put it back up using the other option of 2 flathead screws per bracket. I recommend using the flathead screws option for this reason, if you're doing an inside mount.

I'm going to preface this with: I read directions while viewing the parts and picturing the process and have a lot of mechanical and assembly experience/natural aptitude/innate fearlessness. Having so said, I screwed up the first set of these blinds because of hubris. I wanted to shorten them, 55" window and 72" length seemed like they would stack up and be awkward. My brilliant idea led to the second purchase of these blinds, an intimate knowledge of the mechanism that makes cordless blinds work and how to take apart and reassemble it, and that the blinds' mounting hardware takes a couple of tries. The previous installed blinds were a cheap fix, without the width variety of these, resulting in an annoying 1" gap where the light, heat and the window edges were visible and un-ignorable (Not a word, but you know what I mean- it was an eyesore) and the window looked shabby despite any other window treatments. The blinds were available in 32" width and the white isn't a paint kind of pure white because they are two layers fabric. I mentioned it to clarify what to expect, but they are obviously white. The width is exactly what is stated, measure two or more times with different mearsuring tools for accuracy for the width of the chosen mounting, especially for an inner mounting. ***** (tangential topic: if you're doing more work, try to use only one measuring tape for the whole process for consistency. If buying online, remember the metric to imperial conversion isn't guaranteed to be accurately reported)***** On topic advice from my personal adventures: 1) Pay attention to the fact that the cap pieces are left and right specific. OI used the label on the top as a reference. The pictures are not detailed but they will be a solid guide. Don't force anything into place, some of the tabs are delicate. Check the L or R moulded in the inside of the cap. 2) Mounting bracket installation observation: Inside and outside mounting requires different hardware provided included 4 hex head screws for outter installation using the back of the bracket; 2 flat or pan head screws for inner mounting, 1 for each side using the top of the bracket in the slot in the center of the bracket. <> 3) Installing the blinds works by hooking the lip on the front of the top rail onto the spring loaded tab facing you and "rolling" the rail until it snaps into the back bracket. Check both sides to make sure they are both fully clamped. 2a-should be part of 2) The brackets need to be spaced exactly from your chosen reference point on the inside from window to frame edge avoiding puncturing the window's structure! The review, resumed: These blinds are light diffusing and noticeably insulative. I'm very happy with this product, even though I had to buy them twice! Don't do anything to alter them unless you know what you're doing or if you're me, they aren't designed to be customized by untrained/inexperienced consumers.

I read many reviews before buying these and I was glad I did. We bought three for inside mounting on new windows in our sun room. We were hoping to cut some of the afternoon glare without having big ol clunky blinds in full view. I would say we got about 50% of the glare reduction we were hoping for. The blinds are sheer so a lot of light bleeds through but on the positive side they are attractive when deployed. I don't think the installation is for the totally inexperienced. I am on old amateur handy man and I had to enlist a friend to consult with as we did the installation. As the manufacturer notes the supplied screws will not work for inside mounts so factor in a trip to the hardware store to get flat head screws. As noted I was installing three blinds. The first one was really a bear. I took about five efforts to get it to finally lock. Each failure of course required studying the bracket, re-reading the instructions etc. I was about one failure from quitting when it snapped in. The next two snapped in on first try. So on the positive: Nice looking good price easy to deploy and retract On the less than positive: installation requires exactitude, careful reading of instructions and some experience with DIY. In summary we really like them, their look and their ease of operation.
