so i'm not sure if this is real velvet... could totally be velveteen or velour, kind of has that shiny, scratchy look and feel to it. but i don't really mind either way if it's real or not... they look pretty nice and they DEFINTELY block out light!! mine did not come very wrinkled as i have seen some others mentioned so i guess i got lucky there. they weren't even all that creased, just needed to sit out of the package for a little bit. easy to install, grommets are sewn in nicely and the other stitching seems to be well done too.

I like the idea for one side grey-white the other side dark color. In summer time you can put the white color outside to reflect more heat back to outside, while in winter time you can put the dark color outside to absorb more heat. It did really 100% black out the light and high quality feeling velvet though not too thick.
